CIRRUS PlasticMax at 30 TPH Single Stream System in Western Australia

This NIR and Color optical sorter retrofit in Western Australia was completed to achieve four main goals: 1) Increase recovery rates for paper, HDPE Natural, PET and Mixed Plastics; 2) Increase final product purity of HDPE Natural, PET and Mixed Plastics; 3) Reduce manual labor; 4) Reduce amount of recyclables going to residue and therefore to landfill. To achieve these goals, two MSS CIRRUS PlasticMax optical sorters where installed, both in a dual-eject configuration, where each unit extracts two commodities positively from the mixed input stream.
